These Terms & Conditions apply to all purchases made from Cliftons of Wrexham Ltd, trading as Cliftons Designer Fireplace Studio. Please read them carefully as they explain your legal rights and obligations. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
1. The Contract
1.1 A contract is formed when we accept your order and receive payment in full.
1.2 By placing an order with Cliftons of Wrexham Ltd, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms & Conditions of Sale.
1.3 These Terms & Conditions form an integral part of the contract of sale and apply to all orders placed. Copies are available upon request and are also available on our website.
2. Price and Payment
2.1 Prices are as displayed in our showroom or on our website and include VAT unless stated otherwise.
2.2 Delivery charges will be confirmed before you place your order. We offer free delivery within 6 miles of our showroom. For deliveries beyond this distance, charges are £66.00 for large items or £25.00 for small items, unless otherwise stated.
2.3 Full payment is required at the time of placing an order.
2.4 Payment may be made by card, cheque, cash, or bank transfer.
3. Description of Goods
3.1 We take reasonable care to ensure that product descriptions, specifications, and images are accurate. However, minor variations may occur.
3.2 Images, samples, and display models are provided for illustrative purposes only.
4. Micro Marble Products
4.1 Micro Marble is manufactured using natural materials and therefore contains inherent variations and natural imperfections. These characteristics are normal and form part of the product’s intended appearance.
4.2 Every Micro Marble product is entirely unique. Variations in shade, patterning, veining, and mineral formation may occur.
4.3 Samples and display models are representative guides only. No two pieces will be identical.
4.4 Natural variation in Micro Marble does not constitute a fault or defect, provided the product corresponds broadly with its description.
5. Our Right to Cancel
We may cancel an order prior to delivery if:
If this happens, any payments made will be refunded in full within 14 days.
6. Delivery
6.1 We deliver to the UK mainland only. Some remote locations may be excluded; this will be confirmed prior to order acceptance.
6.2 Delivery dates are estimates only and are not guaranteed.
6.3 Responsibility for the goods passes to you once delivery has taken place at the specified address.
6.4 For palletised deliveries, goods will be delivered to the kerbside or as close as reasonably possible. Drivers are not insured to carry goods into properties. You must ensure sufficient assistance is available.
6.5 If you are unavailable at the agreed delivery time, a redelivery charge may apply.
7. Your Right to Cancel (Distance & Off-Premises Sales)
7.1 If you purchase goods online, by telephone, or away from our showroom, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of delivery in accordance with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
7.2 Cancellation must be notified to us in writing.
7.3 Returned goods must be sent back within 14 days of cancellation, at your own cost, unless the goods are faulty or misdescribed.
7.4 Refunds will be issued within 14 days of receiving the returned goods or proof of return, using the original payment method.
7.5 You are responsible for any reduction in value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to inspect the goods.
7.6 The right to cancel does not apply if goods are made to your specification or clearly personalised.
8. Returns & Cancellations – Showroom Purchases
8.1 If you purchase goods in our showroom, you do not have a legal right to cancel or return goods simply because you change your mind.
8.2 At our discretion, we may accept returns subject to the following conditions:
8.3 Special orders, clearance items, and ex-display goods are non-returnable unless faulty or misdescribed.
9. Faulty or Misdescribed Goods
9.1 You have the legal right to reject faulty goods within 30 days of delivery for a full refund.
9.2 Please notify us promptly if you believe goods are faulty. We may request evidence or inspection.
10. Installation – Supply Only
10.1 Cliftons of Wrexham Ltd supplies fireplaces, stoves, and related products on a supply-only basis. We do not provide installation services and do not employ or subcontract installers.
10.2 Any installer or engineer recommended by us is an independent third party. Any installation quotation is provided on behalf of the installer for guidance only.
10.3 The contract for installation is strictly between you and the installer. The installer will invoice you directly and is solely responsible for:
10.4 Cliftons of Wrexham Ltd accepts no responsibility or liability for installation work, delays, defects, damage, or losses arising from third-party installation services. This does not affect your statutory rights relating to the supply of goods.
11. Warranty Repairs
11.1 Some appliances supplied by Cliftons of Wrexham Ltd are provided with an extended manufacturer’s warranty. Warranty terms, duration, and coverage vary by manufacturer and by product.
11.2 Manufacturer warranties are provided in addition to, and do not affect, your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Year 1 – Parts & Labour
11.3 During the first year from the date of delivery, the manufacturer will normally cover the cost of replacement parts (excluding consumables) and on-site labour once a fault has been diagnosed and confirmed as a manufacturing defect by a suitably qualified engineer. The cost of fault diagnosis or inspection is not covered by Cliftons of Wrexham Ltd or the manufacturer and remains the responsibility of the customer.
11.4 Customers must provide proof of purchase and/or GasSafe registration when making a warranty claim.
Years 2–5 – Parts Only / Limited Coverage
11.5 After the first year, the manufacturer’s warranty may provide parts-only or limited coverage, depending on the appliance and manufacturer.
11.6 During this period, customers are responsible for:
11.7 Customers are advised to check the manufacturer’s warranty documentation for details of exactly which parts are covered after the first year.
Warranty Registration, Servicing & Maintenance
11.8 Customers are responsible for registering any extended warranty directly with the manufacturer where required. Failure to register may result in loss of warranty coverage.
11.9 To maintain warranty validity, appliances must be serviced and maintained in accordance with the manufacturer’s requirements. Failure to comply with servicing or maintenance requirements may invalidate the warranty.
11.10 Customers should refer to the manufacturer’s warranty documentation for specific servicing intervals and conditions.
General Warranty Terms
11.11 Warranty repairs, replacement parts, and coverage decisions are made by the manufacturer in accordance with their warranty policy.
11.12 Cliftons of Wrexham Ltd is not the warranty provider unless explicitly stated and is not responsible for:

12. Ex-Display and Clearance Items
12.1 Ex-display and clearance items are sold at reduced prices to reflect their condition.
12.2 These items remain subject to statutory rights and must be as described and fit for purpose, taking their condition into account.
